4th Annual Gut Road Cleanup! Opportunity

YORK, PA. – Got a gut feeling this is an opportunity to get the kids and spouse out of the house! Come join the Jst’Fishin Susquehanna River Guide, Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper and the Watershed Alliance of York for the 4th Annual Gut Road Cleanup! Opportunity to help clean up trash and floating debris along Gut Road, to keep it out of the Lower Susquehanna River and learn what you can do to help protect our Earth. Fun for the whole family!

The Gut Road Cleanup will be held Saturday March 31, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Volunteers must check in at the Boat Access Area on Gut Rd, in Saginaw, East Manchester Township. Cleanup work gloves, trash bags and light refreshments will be provided to volunteers. Volunteers are advised to dress casual, wear sturdy footgear and dress appropriately for the weather. If the National Weather Service issues a severe weather advisory (extreme cold or precipitation) or flood warning for the day of the event, the cleanup will be cancelled. Donations provided by General Dynamics, PPL and Republic Services.

The Watershed Alliance of York is a coalition of stakeholders committed to encouraging watershed-based planning, restoration and protection in York County and beyond.
