PPL Supports Northampton County Envirothon

Educating youth about soil and natural resource conservation is a primary focus for the Northampton County Conservation District in Nazareth, PA. Through environmental education programs at the district such as the Envirothon, students are learning about the importance of conservation. PPL is pleased to support these efforts and recently presented the Northampton Conservation District with a check for $500 to support their annual Envirothon event.

Alana Roberts, PPL presents sponsorship check to Brian Fulmer, Chairman of the Northampton County Conservation District at their monthly board meeting on February 14th.

“We are grateful to PPL for taking an active interest in our nation’s youth and our environment. We hope to continue this partnership to promote the preservation of our precious resources, ” said Bruce Pysher, conservation district manager.

Northampton Conservation District’s Envirothon will be held on April 26th at Lake Louise Park. The Pennsylvania State Envirothon will be held on May 22nd and 23rd on the campus of the University of Pittsburg in Johnstown. For more information about the Envirothon, visit www.envirothonpa.org.
