Explore spooky spiders at Montour Preserve

Spiders might seem spooky to some people, but they play an important role in nature. We will explore just what a spider is through a storybook and outdoor walk from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at PPL’s Montour Environmental Preserve.

Jon D. Beam, PPL’s senior naturalist, will lead this program for young explorers (ages 3-5). Discover how many legs and eyes a spider has, why it spins a web and what spiders eat. Take a walk to look for these “spooky” friends and discover how fascinating they really are.

This free program will meet at the Environmental Education Center. For directions, click here. For more information, contact the preserve at 570-437-3131 or jdbeam@pplweb.com.
