Peregrine chicks are here!

We checked on the peregrine nest box at PPL’s Montour power plant this afternoon and found two chicks and one egg. One chick is obviously slightly more developed than the other as would be expected with asynchronous hatching. It is possible the third egg could hatch today or tomorrow. Both adults were present at the nest while we were there.

Many thanks to Bill Wetzel and Carey Hagenbuch, employees at the plant, for making this nest check possible.
