Early Halloween Decorations?

These webbed nests found on tree limbs in the late summer and fall belong to a moth knows as the fall webworm. It is mainly an aesthetic pest is and is not believed to harm otherwise healthy trees. Fall webworms are not considered as harmful to orchards as the Eastern tent caterpillar, because it feeds late in the season and only shortly before leaves drop. Just think of them as early Halloween decorations!
