Get a taste of edible plants

Learn how to identify, collect and prepare wild plants during an edible plants walk 1:30-3 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at PPL’s Susquehanna Riverlands.

Join Jerry and Len Janus for a leisurely stroll through the wetlands as we learn about wild plants that can be eaten and traditionally have been used as food. They will share with us their more than 25 years of experience on gardening, herbs and wild plants on this leisurely stroll through the wetlands, focusing on recipes and preparation hints.

Please dress appropriately for a walk in the woods. The program will be held at the Wetlands Nature Area, but in case of inclement weather it will be moved indoors to the Susquehanna Energy Information Center. Please call ahead at 1-866-832-3312 in case of questionable weather.
