Assist a butterfly census at PPL’s Brunner Island Wetlands

Would you like to volunteer to help survey butterflies? The annual July Butterfly Count will be held at PPL’s Brunner Island Wetlands at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7.

Led by PPL naturalists, the butterfly count offers a wonderful opportunity to get involved, learn about these beautiful creatures and assist in gathering valuable information about their range and population numbers. Plan to spend part of or all day outdoors. Bring binoculars and a field guide as well as water.

The program will take place at the Wood Duck Pavilion at PPL’s Brunner Island wetlands located off Wago Road, across from Gate A. For directions, visit www.pplweb.com/brunner+island. For more information, contact Karen Ament at 717-284-6274 or kament@pplweb.com.
