Hands-on fiber arts demo at Montour

Fiber art is a style of fine art that uses textiles such as fabric, yarn, and natural and synthetic fibers. Learn about fiber arts during these demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at PPL’s Montour Environmental Preserve.

Join the Susquehanna Valley Spinners and Weavers Guild as they offer demonstrations on fiber processing, spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, lace-making and cord-making. Get hands-on experience with the fiber, wheels and looms. Small starter kits and supplies will be offered for sale to anyone wanting to get started on fiber projects.

This free program will take place at the environmental education center. For more information or directions, contact the preserve at 570-437-3131 or jdbeam@pplweb.com.
