Help band bluebirds with PPL

Bird banding is a way to help understand the biology and behavior of birds. PPL invites you to view the banding and release of Eastern bluebirds at its Martins Creek Environmental Preserve from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 13.

Join Paul Karner, a bird bander licensed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as he teaches about the process and how important these beautiful birds are to our local ecosystem. Take a journey around the preserve to check nest boxes. The program will be held rain or shine. Please dress for the weather.

This program, which is free and great for all ages, will begin at the Cedars Pavilion on Foul Rift Road. For directions, click here.
