Spring woodland wildflower walk

The sprouting and blooming of woodland wildflowers are among the first signs that spring is truly here. Discover the wonders of spring wildflowers at PPL’s Montour Environmental Preserve from 1:30-3 p.m. Saturday, April 25.

Join me for an exploratory walk through the preserve’s woodlands to discover the joy and beauty of spring wildflowers. Enjoy some interesting facts and fascinating folklore about the different species encountered along the way. Please dress for the weather.

The program, which is free and great for all ages, will begin at the Environmental Education Center. For more information and directions, contact the preserve at 570-437-3131 or pplpreserves@pplweb.com.

PPL operates the preserve, about four miles northeast of Washingtonville, in conjunction with its Montour power plant in Derry Township.
