PPL Electric Utilities is pleased to announce the launch of the 2nd annual Bright Ideas Energy Efficiency Poster Contest. We’re hoping to encourage students in our Pennsylvania service territory to share their bright ideas about energy efficiency. The inaugural year of the contest was an overwhelming success with over 3,000 entries received and last year’s winners are still on display at The DaVinci Science Center in Allentown, PA.
The teacher’s role is to direct and motivate the students and to submit all student entries, and the child’s assignment is to produce a beautiful, unique interpretation of what energy efficiency means to him or her. The contest is open to all students in Grades K-8 and offers some fantastic prizes for both students and teachers. PPL will select winners in three grade categories: K-2, 3-5 and 6-8. Each age category will have a grand prize and three finalists, with the following prizes:
Grand Prize
$500 savings bond for the student
$500 classroom grant for the teacher
Pizza party for the class
Finalists
$200 savings bond for the student
Pizza party for the class
The contest will remain open until April 6th. For official rules, entry form, flyer and tip sheet, visit www.pplelectric.com/brightideas. Good Luck!
